How Pigibob Font Brought Playful Clarity to Our Summer Campaign
Designing for Impact: A Real Marketing Moment
It was 9:47 AM on a Thursday, and I was deep in Figma, preparing the visuals for a summer product launch aimed at a young audience. The brand’s color palette was vibrant—sunshine yellows and ocean blues—but something was missing. The thumbnails looked flat, the social posts lacked personality, and the YouTube thumbnails didn’t pop the way we needed them to. That’s when I remembered Pigibob.
I had downloaded it weeks earlier for a client’s birthday campaign but hadn’t had a chance to use it yet. Pigibob is a Script Amp font with soft, rounded letterforms and wide shapes that give off a playful, approachable vibe. It wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about tone. Our campaign needed warmth, a sense of fun, and a visual language that felt inclusive and easygoing.
Choosing the Right Typeface for the Message
Pigibob isn’t your standard headline font. It’s not sleek or minimalist. It’s expressive, with curved corners and a gentle bounce in its strokes. That made it perfect for our campaign’s primary message: “Summer is for Playing.”
We used it in Instagram stories, Pinterest pins, and YouTube thumbnails to highlight key phrases like “New Arrivals” and “Limited Time Only.” The font’s softness contrasted beautifully with the bold colors, creating a visual hierarchy that guided the eye without overwhelming the design. It wasn’t just decorative—it was functional.
On mobile previews, where space is tight and attention spans are shorter than ever, Pigibob held up well. Its wide letterforms and open spacing made the text readable even in small thumbnails. When used for quote graphics and product teasers, it added a layer of personality that helped our content stand out in fast-scrolling feeds.
Where Pigibob Shines in Digital Campaigns
This font works best in display contexts—think headlines, callouts, branded labels, and promotional banners. It’s not ideal for long paragraphs or body copy, but as a campaign-focused font, it delivers clarity and charm in equal measure.
- Social media graphics – Especially for Instagram posts and stories aimed at younger audiences
- YouTube thumbnails – Adds contrast and readability against bright or dark backgrounds
- Pinterest pins – The rounded shapes catch the eye as users scroll through inspiration boards
- Email banners – Softens the tone of promotional messages without losing professionalism
- Webinar headers – Perfect for playful, educational content aimed at kids or creative niches
We even used Pigibob in a branded content series for an online toy shop. The goal was to evoke a sense of playfulness and trust, and the font helped reinforce that emotional connection. It became a subtle but consistent part of the brand’s visual identity across multiple platforms.
Readability Tips for Real-World Use
When using Pigibob—or any expressive font—it’s important to consider the environment where the text will appear. Here’s what we kept in mind:
- Mobile previews – Always check how the text looks at reduced sizes; we used it for headlines no smaller than 24px
- Dark vs. light backgrounds – Pigibob has enough contrast in its strokes to work well on both
- Image overlays – We added a light drop shadow to ensure readability when placed over photos
- Fast-scrolling feeds – Best for short, punchy phrases rather than long descriptions
Font Pairing Done Right
One of the most important design decisions was choosing the right font pairings. Pigibob is expressive, so we balanced it with a clean sans serif like Montserrat or Lato for subheadings and body text. This helped maintain readability while keeping the overall design dynamic.
For a more editorial feel in a Pinterest campaign, we paired it with a modern serif font in captions. The contrast between the soft script and the structured serif created a layered, professional look without being too formal.
When designing a landing page, we used Pigibob for the main header and a minimalist sans serif for the supporting copy. This created a visual rhythm that guided users through the page naturally.
Checking the Fine Print Before Launch
Before finalizing the campaign assets, I made sure to review the font’s included styles, ligatures, and alternate characters. Pigibob came with multiple weights and a few stylistic sets that added flexibility to our designs.
We also checked for multilingual support, as some of the campaign assets were translated into Spanish and French. The font handled accents and special characters well, which saved us from having to swap fonts later.
Lastly, we confirmed the commercial licensing terms. Since we were using Pigibob in client-facing digital ads and branded templates, it was important to ensure the license allowed for broad use across platforms and deliverables.
Designing with Purpose, Not Just Style
In the end, Pigibob wasn’t just a design choice—it was a strategic one. It helped us communicate warmth, playfulness, and approachability across a campaign aimed at families and young creatives. Whether we were designing a social media graphic, a YouTube thumbnail, or a branded email banner, Pigibob gave our visuals a consistent tone that resonated with the audience.
As a marketer, I’m always looking for tools that make the message clearer, not more complicated. Pigibob did exactly that. It wasn’t just a font—it was a storytelling element that helped bring our campaign to life.
